Yes. SAPS runs a single, centralised database, so one certificate covers your full South African record regardless of how many provinces you lived in.
How long is a SAPS certificate valid for?
SAPS doesn't print an expiry date — the receiving authority decides how recent they need it, and six to twelve months old is the most common requirement. Always confirm with whoever is requesting it.
Do I need to travel to South Africa to apply?
No. Fingerprints are captured wherever you currently live — in Elanza's case, in person in Christchurch — and your file is couriered to Pretoria for processing.
How long does it take from New Zealand?
