Terms of Service

Last updated 22 July 2026. The terms covering this website and the clearance-coordination service.

Who you're dealing with

An independent coordination service

SAPS Police Clearance NZ / EM Services (operated by Elanza Muller, Christchurch, New Zealand) is an independent service that coordinates South African Police Clearance Certificate applications on behalf of clients. It is not the South African Police Service (SAPS), not a government agency, and not affiliated with SAPS or the South African government. Using this website or engaging the service does not constitute a submission to SAPS — SAPS receives and processes your application separately, on its own timeline.

What the service includes

The service coordinates document preparation, certified fingerprint capture (performed personally by Elanza), submission to SAPS, and tracking of your application through to certificate delivery. Exact scope and fees are confirmed directly with you before you commit to anything — see the cost guide for the general structure.

Timelines are not guaranteed

SAPS's own internal processing time is outside the control of this service, any coordinator, or any provider anywhere in the world. Timeline estimates given on this site (such as the 6–10 week guide) are based on typical experience, not a guarantee. Courier providers, apostille/legalisation authorities, and SAPS itself can each independently affect how long an application takes.

Guide content is informational, not advice

The guides published on this site (documents, apostille, costs, visa-country guidance, and similar pages) are provided for general information only. They are not legal, immigration, or professional advice, and requirements set by SAPS, DIRCO, or any destination country's immigration authority can change. Always confirm current requirements with the relevant official authority before relying on anything published here for a specific application or deadline.

Your responsibilities

You're responsible for providing accurate, complete information and genuine documents. Delays or issues caused by inaccurate information you provide are not the responsibility of this service.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, this service is not liable for delays or losses caused by SAPS processing times, third-party courier providers, apostille/legalisation authorities, postal services, or changes to a receiving country's requirements — none of which this service controls.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
